APPOINTMENT PREP
A decent night’s sleep always helps.
Drink a lot of water.
Moisturise the area for 1 week prior to getting tattooed.
Keep alcohol consumption to a couple of drinks the night before.
Have a decent breakfast beforehand.
Make sure to bring some lollies with you to keep the blood sugar levels happy, this also helps with reducing pain throughout the tattoo. The day of your tattoo appointment is not the day to be following any low sugar diets.
Please do not shave the area to be tattooed, this can cause unwanted rashes or cuts prior to your appointment. I will do this before we start. If you think it will assist in me shaving the area with a razor, you can trim the area with clippers a little prior to your appointment.
If you have a decent cut or rash, I will not be able to tattoo you in that area. Please advise me of any skin conditions prior to your appointment
Please don’t bring your whole family or 5 friends with you. A friend is fine, but keep in mind we need to focus on the task at hand, and more people mean more distractions. It is also a high-risk environment with needles, inks and tattoo equipment.
For longer sessions sometimes it’s good to bring something along that can take your mind off the tattoo. Maybe a book, iPad or headphones.
