AFTERCARE & NUMBING CREAMS

I will not tattoo you if you have used numbing creams prior to your appointment. I feel the quality of work suffers as a result of this due to many factors. There are no exceptions to this, however I do use a numbing spray in the latter stages of the tattoo to help get through the longer sessions.

When it comes to aftercare, there are a lot of options available these days. Bepanthen Anticeptic is the most commonly used. Some others that I would recommend are Hustle Butter, Redemption Cream, Dr. Pickles and a lot of the Numb Skulled products also get great results.

If your occupation or any activities you routinely do puts you at more risk with potential infection, I also strongly recommend ordering a roll of Tattoo Aftercare Film from Orien tattoo supply -

You will use this for the initial week for healing and is generally great for protecting your tattoo from harmful bacteria once you leave the studio. This will also help speed up the healing process.

Here is a video on how to apply the film.

Details on how to use these products are on their respective websites. I will give you aftercare instructions also upon completing your tattoo.

Unfortunately, we don’t stock these products for purchase at the studio, although we generally have some on hand for the completion of the tattoo.

If you have any more aftercare questions please email me.
